Grade 2 listed building designed in the classic Greek style by the architect Edward Lapidge. Consectrated in 1829 by the Bishop of London. Built in 1827 with money provided by King George IV to celebrate the end of the Napoleonic Wars. Congregation of local people of all ages and backgrounds.

This evangelical Baptist church enjoys free worship, as it is expected the early church would have done. The building is over 100 years old but the inside has been totally refurbished to be totally inclusive of all needs and abilities.
