We run four Cambridge exam preparation courses throughout the year and they are very popular options for our clients. Last week, one of our Voice Trainers, Dolly, demonstrated her voice training techniques for a London-based TV show. Our Chief Executive, Timothy Blake, then took part in a debate on the importance of accents live on their lunchtime news bulletin.
Business English UK’s annual Excellence in Business English Training (EBET) award for 2014 results wereannounced on Saturday 7th June and we are delightedthat one of our trainers, Jon Dyson is this year’s winner.

Gina has joined us in the newly-created role of Accommodation Services Executive, which covers the general administration of our accommodation provision as well as the development of new accommodation options.
2013 was another successful year for London School of English students with over 50 students progressing to university this year. I’d like to say a big ‘congratulations’ to all of them on their dedication, hard work and success. We are very proud to have such a high achieving alumni who are an inspiration to our current and future students.
Following our successful 2012 Centenary Film Competition, we ran a competition in 2013 with the theme ‘101’.
Earlier this month, two of our staff went to Prague to speak at the BESIG Annual Conference. Our trainer Ed Pegg ran an interesting workshop on active listening. Ed says, “Active listening is all about building relationships with people by showing empathy and understanding. It is a key skill in international business, and it’s an area I’m passionate about.”
