İlke works for The British Chamber of Commerce of Turkey in Istanbul and came to London to improve her professional English. She studied on the International Business Communication course and Communicating Effectively in English. At the Chamber she deals with a lot of visitors from the UK and Ireland who have a range of accents, so it was important for her to be in an environment where she could really develop her listening skills. She also regularly deals with financial reports and needed a better understanding of some of the sophisticated language used in these documents.
In particular, İlke felt that the trainers did a lot to help her understand different accents, and she enjoyed the weekly speaker on the International Business Communication course, and the group discussion that followed.
After her time with us İlke said ‘You are not only learning English, but also experiencing other industries’ trends and the issues they face. As a business person it is a big opportunity to see the differences between world cultures.’
Talking about her overall experience İlke said ‘Before arriving in the UK and during my training period, everyone at the school was always so polite and concerned with my personal expectations. They work hard to send everyone home happy.’

Both CEE and IBC were really nice because I could have relationship with a lot of people who have different jobs, ages and nationalities. It was so sitimulating for me that I could feel the cultural difference.
Not only these programs but also the trainers were excellent. I could have classes of a teacher, Ed Pegg, in IBC and Individual tuition. He supported our discussion effectivelly, so the atmospher of my class was really good and he gave us a lot of advice accurately. In addition, he also corrected my report to submit my company individually.
Also, my accommodation was really confortable, the host mother was kind and cookes well.
If I have further opportunity, I would like to come your school again.
