Intensive General Combination Course

The best of both worlds

A combination course offers an excellent opportunity to combine group-based general English with the additional personal attention that comes from Individual Tuition.

The morning is spent on the Intensive General group course. During the afternoon, we offer either 10 or 15 hours per week of Individual Tuition (15 hours per week in July and August). During your afternoon individual tuition, you can use the time to focus on your general or professional English needs, or perhaps to prepare for an examination such as Cambridge, IELTS, TOEIC, GMAT or TOEFL.

Our individual tuition programme includes a detailed needs analysis leading to a carefully tailored training programme ensuring that we maintain complete focus on specifically identified areas of need. That may be to prepare for an examination in a hurry or to focus on a particular area of interest or language need.

Who's it for?

This course is designed for mature, motivated adults who need to improve their English language skills either for general use or more specifically for their work or study. Group sizes are small (maximum 12) - so joining a course here is about participating.

The courses are lively and fun, but also challenging, because we know that making rapid progress is the highest priority. All participants are serious about improving their practical English language skills as quickly as possible.
