Bankside House is situated close to the River Thames, near the Tate Modern. The location is good for enjoying central London, but it is not particularly close to either of our schools. The residence is new and has modern facilities.
There is a cash restaurant open daily, including weekends, for breakfast and evening meals. The approximate cost of an evening meal is £2.50 and breakfast in the region of £1.90. There is at least one vegetarian option available at all times.
The extensive lower ground floor houses a student bar and games room, quiet study, table tennis and TV rooms. Also available is an inexpensive, coin-operated laundry and ironing room. There is good disabled access.
There are 6 TV/lounges and 8 study rooms equipped with sofas and WiFi access.
There is no internet available in the bedrooms. You can use the internet on one of the computers in reception for £2 for half an hour.

London Heathrow Airport - Take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington. At Paddington change onto the underground and take the Bakerloo Line (travelling south) to Baker Street. At Baker Street change to the Jubilee Line (travelling south) to Southwark. The residence is a 13 minute walk from the underground station. Total travel time approx. 1 hour. Or, you can take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and take a taxi from Paddington to the residence. Total travel time approx. 45 minutes. Cost of taxi approx. £19
London Gatwick Airport - Take the Gatwick Express to London Bridge Station. The residence is a 20 minute walk from the underground station. Total travel time approx. 55 minutes. Or, you can take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station and take a taxi from Victoria to the residence. Total travel time approx. 45 minutes. Cost of taxi approx. £12
London City Airport - Take the Docklands Light Railway to Canning Town. At Canning Town change onto the underground and take the Jubilee Line to Southwark. The residence is a 13 minute walk from the underground station. Total travel time approx. 39 mintutes. Or, you can take a taxi directly to your residence. Total travel time approx. 29 minutes. London Luton Airport - Take the First Capital Connect train to City Thames Link. The residence is a 19 minute walk from the underground station. Total travelling time approx. 1 hour. Or, you can take the Thameslink train to Kings Cross Station and take a taxi from Kings Cross to the residence. Total travel time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes. Cost of taxi approx. £14
London Stansted Airport - Take the National Express East Anglia to Tottenham Hale. At Tottenham Hale change onto the underground and take the Victoria Line (travelling south) to Green Park.
