Where To Go For Treatment
Emergency Treatment
If you need to see a doctor urgently you can get free treatment at any hospital Accident and Emergency (A&E) department. The A&E departments in west London are:

Please note that treatment at an A & E department is for people who have a serious emergency. It is not suitable for minor or ongoing problems. There is no appointment system at A&E departments. Go when you need to but be prepared to wait.
NHS Walk-in Centre
If your condition is less important you may find it easier to go to the Walk-in Centre at Charing Cross Hospital. Walk-in centres are staffed by trained nurses and can help you with strains and sprains, bites and bruises, coughs and colds, and other minor illnesses. There is no appointment system at walk-in centres. Go when you need to but be prepared to wait.

If you are insured or don't mind paying, you can use the following medical centres where you will get quicker treatment:

We have an agreement with The Westover to give a discount to all London School of English clients on their first consultation. A first consultation with the discount is typically around £80. When you call to make an appointment tell the receptionist that you are a London School of English student and check how much your consultation will be.

Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 8am - 8pm, Sat 9am - 6pm, Sun 10am - 4pm
You will have a consultation within 20 minutes. The cost to see a doctor for up to 15 minutes is approximately: £65 + prescription costs. Retain your receipt to claim back from your insurance.

Doctors Surgeries (GP)
Ask your homestay family, or reception at your hotel or residence, where your local surgery is. Not all surgeries are able to take new patients so you may need to try more than one. If you have trouble finding a surgery ask at reception at either Holland Park Gardens or Westcroft Square and we will be able to help you.
