Post Offices

Most post offices are open between 09.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday and 09.00 - 13.00 on Saturday.

For Holland Park, the nearest Post Office is in Ladbroke Grove (2 Ladbroke Grove, W11 3BG - map). It is very small and may not be able to do more complicated things. In this case you may have to go to the larger Post Office at Shepherds Bush (66-69, Shepherds Bush Green, London, W12 8QF - map).

At Westcroft Square, the nearest Post Office is literally just around the corner! It is located at 353 King Street - a one-minute walk from the School.

You can ask in Reception for the current price for cards, letters or packets.  If necessary we can weigh it and tell you how much it will cost.

You can post letters in the red postboxes you see on many street corners. They should indicate the times of collection on them. Last times of collection vary but are usually 17.30 Monday to Friday (sometimes later); 12.00 Saturday. Post is collected from some boxes on Sundays, particularly at post offices. Check the information on the box before posting, especially if it is an urgent letter. You must take parcels to a Post Office.

It is difficult to be precise about how long letters and cards take to get to other countries. Two days is perfectly common to most of western Europe, but it can be a week or more.
