English On Course
There are many 'English plus Golf' programmes available on the market. Most of them separate the language training from the 'leisure' activity.
We create tailor made programmes in which the time spent playing golf represents a real opportunity to develop and practise communication skills. Our English On Course packages pair you with an expert trainer in the classroom and the Managing Director, John Miles, on the golf course. As John is himself an experienced English trainer, the golf becomes an activity within the context of the communication skills training.
Canterbury has 20 golf courses within a 30 minute drive – parkland courses, seaside links courses and downland courses, unique to this area. John will agree a playing programme with you when you arrive and take you to outstandingly beautiful and unusual courses.
Each programme is tailor made to your requirements but the Fact Check below gives a sample programme.

Who's it for?
Find out if this course is suitable for your needs
English On Course is ideal if you wish to combine intensive training with some afternoons on the golf course in the company of an experienced communication skills trainer. If you have corporate golf days or need to entertain clients on the golf course, this programme will provide a great opportunity to perfect your communication skills in such situations.
It is not intended as a golf tuition programme, so experience of playing golf is required. If you have a handicap certificate or card, please bring it with you, although a handicap is not essential.
The areas that you can expect to cover during a typical course
The content of your formal training sessions depends on the training format you choose. While you play golf, John will ask talk to you about your job or your business or current affairs, deal with any questions you may have concerning communication skills, practise networking skills….whatever you would like to focus on.
What you can expect to achieve from your course
This is considerably more than an ‘English plus Golf’ programme. Being paired with John, an experienced English trainer, will make you more confident in future networking situations, give you a clearer insight into your communication strengths and weaknesses and help you plan your future path in English.
