Nevern House is a 5 storey Georgian house situated in a residential street in Earls Court. It provides year round living accommodation for 16 international students. The residence is quiet and calm, has been recently refurbished to a very high standard and is ideal more mature students.

Additional facilities

The residence has a library on the ground floor where students can relax, study and watch television. There are no laundry facilities available in the residence but students can use the nearby laundrette for a small fee. Bedding and towels are provided for students on arrival.

Housekeeping - clean bed linen and towels changed weekly.

Additional charges

Overnight guests are allowed with prior notice. There is a fee of £25.00 per night for guests. Extra ben linen and towels can be provided, as well as camp beds for your guest.

 

Cancellation terms

Before arrival:

Bookings cancelled more than 28 days before arrival will receive a refund less an administration charge of £150.00. For bookings cancelled between 8 and 28 days before arrival you will be charged one week cancellation fee. For cancellation received 7 days or less before arrival you will be charged 2 weeks cancellation fee.

After arrival (Shortening your stay):

You may shorten your stay after you have arrived but you must give more than 14 days' notice starting from the first Sunday after written notification of your early departure has been received with no additional penalty charge.

Organising an airport pick up

General information on travelling from all London airports to central London

Travelling from the airport/station to Nevern House:

Arriving at London Heathrow (LHR)

Take the Piccadilly Line to Earl’s Court, come out of the station main entrance and turn left and walk up the Earl’s Court Road and turn left into Nevern Place, which is the third road on your left. Then continue walking and the second road on your right will be Nevern Road. This walk should take you 10 minutes. Total travel time approx 50 minutes.  Or, you can take a taxi directly to your residence. Total journey time approx. 29 minutes. Cost of taxi approx. £58.00.

Arriving at London Stansted (STN)

Take the National Express Coach Service to Victoria. Then take the District Line going West and get off at Earl’s Court. Come out of the station’s main entrance and turn left and walk up the Earl’s Court Road. Keep walking until you reach Nevern Place, which is the third road on your left. Then continue walking along Nevern Place until you reach the second road on your right which is Nevern Road. This walk should take you 10 minutes. Total travel time approx 1hr 40 minutes. Or, you can take a taxi directly to your residence. Total journey time approx. 1hr. Cost of taxi approx. £170.00.

Arriving at London Gatwick (LGW)

Take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria. Then take the District Line going West and get off at Earl’s Court. Come out of the station’s main entrance and turn left and walk up the Earl’s Court Road. Keep walking until you reach Nevern Place, which is the third road on your left. Then continue walking along Nevern Place until you reach the second road on your right which is Nevern Road. This walk should take you 10 minutes. Total travel time approx. 1hr 10 minutes. Or, you can take a taxi directly to your residence. Total journey time approx. 55 minutes. Cost of taxi approx. £110.00.

Arriving by Eurostar (St Pancras)

Take the Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith and change to a District Line train going East and get off at Earl’s Court. Come out of the station’s main entrance and turn left and walk up the Earl’s Court Road. Keep walking until you reach Nevern Place, which is the third road on your left. Then continue walking along Nevern Place until you reach the second road on your right which is Nevern Road. This walk should take you 10 minutes. Total travel time approx. 30 minutes. Or, you can take a taxi directly to your residence. Total travel time approx. 20 minutes. Cost of taxi approx. £27.00.
