The Activities Coordinator works in the school’s Customer Experience Department, and is responsible for planning, leading and marketing client activities for two separate London centres.
The Activities Coordinator will work across both our Holland Park and Chiswick centres to ensure that a varied and interesting programme of activities is in place for both schools. The time spent between the sites will vary dependent on demand. The Activities Coordinator must be comfortable working with individuals from a wide variety of social and economic backgrounds. All participants taking part in activities will be aged 18 or over.
This is a new role and as such is currently in development. It is currently being advertised as 24 hours per week but there may be potential to expand the hours of work at a later date. It will be essential that the post holder can work from 8.30am to 5.30pm on a Monday to meet our weekly intake of new course participants but we can be flexible for the right candidate with regards to the remainder of the week. However it will be essential that the jobholder is able to lead two evening events per week (one from each centre). These evening events would have an estimated finish time of 8.30pm.

1 Plan a monthly schedule of activities for each centre. Activities should be varied and interesting and form a key part of the client’s experience with us. The post holder will be responsible for leading events and for recruiting other staff to assist where needed.
2 Ensure activities are held in accordance with the schools standards and policies and are held within budget. Ensure that appropriate risk assessments are undertaken and evidenced of each activity.
3 Lead events ensuring that all guests are motivated throughout. Solve any issues which arise quickly and clearly.
4 Responsible for conferring with training staff to understand current areas of study and what activities may be relevant or useful to our client’s studies.
5 Responsible for marketing of the activities programme and for encouraging clients to attend.
6 Responsible for updating school’s social media accounts and website regarding activities programme.
7 Responsible for running focus groups to understand activities which may be of interest and for monitoring and reviewing and adapting activities accordingly.
8 Be available for clients to discuss activities and things they may do during their private time in London. Develop and maintain a materials bank of ideas and suggestions for things for clients to do when there is no staff led activity taking place. Keep materials up to date and engaging.
9 Develop close relationship with related parties, for example accommodation providers, to explore potential for coordinating activities and use of facilities and equipment.
10 Establish and develop relationships with local businesses to obtain discounts for clients and activities.
