The London School of English opens in Tbilisi
A first week of courses is now underway at the recently launched London School of English Tbilisi. The language centre is owned and managed by LSE’s franchise partner in Georgia, the Caucasus Academic Centre (CAC), a privately-owned educational group founded in 1999, with interests also in higher education, vocational training and ELT publishing.
Commenting on the launch, Timothy Blake, Managing Director of The London School of English Group, said ‘Finding franchise partners is not at all easy. We feel we need to work with a partner who really shares our vision – our dedication to quality and to building a strong long-term business. I am delighted to say that we feel that in David Tsetskhladze and the Caucasus Academic Centre we have found just such a partner, and we are very excited that today we are opening in Tbilisi.’
CAC brings over a decade of local English-language training experience to the new partnership. David Tsetskhladze, Director of CAC, commented “Becoming a part of the London School of English Group is an exceptional opportunity for CAC to offer learners additional courses and a number of other specialised programmes to suit almost every need, whether it be for work, study or just to feel more confident with the language.”
The London School of English Tbilisi offers a range of English programmes to the adult and younger learner population of Georgia’s capital city. Courses include General English, Business English, Individual Tuition and examination courses such as IELTS and TOEFL.
All courses are taught by qualified and experienced teachers, who are now undergoing a phase of further professional training led by the centre’s new Director of Studies, Simon Williams, on secondment from London.
