Background

Established in 1912, we are amongst the world's oldest English language schools. Many thousands of satisfied clients have trained with us over the years. We are proud of our full house of strengths with the British Council which reflects our focus on quality and client satisfaction. In 2026, the London School of English will run its third residential summer programme for international students.

The Young Adults Summer Programme is for students aged 15-18. It is based in Bloomsbury, in central London, and comprises two consecutive 2-week courses:

  • Student arrival: 28th June. Student departure: 11th July 2025
  • Student arrival: 12th July. Student departure: 25th July 2025

The course participants study for approximately 25 hours each week during weekday morning and early afternoons. In the late afternoons and evenings – and during each middle weekend - a ‘social & activities programme’ is offered, whereby our students will participate in various sporting, cultural and social events. During these activities periods, students are supervised and cared for by a team of Activities Leaders. The activities team is also responsible for accompanying the students to and from the airport at the beginning and end of their stay. The activities team is managed and led by the Welfare Manager.

About the Position

The Activities Leader position involves supervising, entertaining and supporting the students while encouraging their participation, engagement and enjoyment. The Activities Leader reports to the Welfare Manager.
