Welfare and Safeguarding

At the London School of English, we understand how important it is for you to feel safe and secure while you are with us. This is always our top priority. We have dedicated, trained staff available at all times throughout your stay. We will be with you day and night and we are always available to help on a practical or emotional level.

Our low staff-to-student-ratio ensures that everyone is cared for and safeguarded to the highest standards. We do everything we can to make sure that there won’t be any difficulties, but we understand that for some students, this experience is a big step. With this in mind, we are committed to promoting positive mental well-being for all our students while you are here with us. Our staff are kind, caring and experienced in noticing and addressing any problems students may face at an early stage. In this way, we can prevent these problems from becoming larger issues.

We provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can live and learn safely. Your mental well-being and welfare is always our number one priority and a responsibility we take very seriously at all times.

In the unlikely event that you are unwell or injured while in our care, we have comprehensive procedures in place to look after you and keep your parents and guardians informed at all times.

You will have a 24-hour phone number that they can call at any time if they have any problems, from arrival to departure.

  • All students, when starting our programme, will be between the ages of 15 and 17.  A few students may turn 18 whilst on the course (at which point they are considered an adult). Please note, these students will still be required to follow the same rules as the juniors, no allowances can be made.
