Business English Workshop/Seminar at the British Consulate Istanbul

On 10th April we held a Business English Workshop/Seminar at the British Consulate Istanbul, in association with the British Chamber of Commerce in Turkey, and StudyBritish.com.

Brief opening presentations were made by J. Melvin Cottrell, Vice Chairman of the British Chamber; Neil Futerill, the Market Manager for Turkey at the LSE; and David Mitchell, of StudyBritish.com. Then Anne Morris, one of our trainers, held two workshops, separated by a business breakfast, focusing on meeting & greeting skills, small talk (networking English), making arrangements (telephoning), arriving at an organisation (dealing with problems), and preparing for meetings (language recycling). The sessions were highly interactive, with attendees busily communicating with each other.

The event was well-attended, with around 35 participants - including  representatives from high-profile companies such as Vodafone, Efes, KPMG, Stanton Chase, Anadolu Efes, and several  legal firms – and the feedback was very positive.
