Get Insured

For your financial and personal security, we strongly recommend arranging insurance before you travel to the UK.

You may choose your own provider, or you can purchase a policy through our online booking system. Our policy includes cover for course cancellation, and we will arrange it for you.

If you are from an EU/EEA country or Switzerland, we also recommend applying for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in your home country before travelling.

The London School of English partners with GuardMe to offer a student insurance policy specifically designed for your needs while studying in the UK. This policy is available through our online booking portal and provides the following:

• The policy is only for students travelling to the UK to study (not for people already living here)
• Cover starts once your booking has been paid in full
• Please make sure your booking is paid at least 7 days before your course begins so your cover is active in time
• Cost: £7 per week

Note: If you bought insurance before 1 October 2025, your policy is with Endsleigh. You’ll find more information further down this page.

Policy benefits include:

• No deductible excess
• Personal liability: £2,500,000
• Travel benefits (flight delays, etc.)
• Cancellation up to £25,000 (optional)*
• Digital Doctor Telemedicine (free video consultations)
• Medical expenses: £10,000,000

* includes standard cancellation up to £7,500, with the possibility of extending it up to £25,000.

Please note that it is an advantage to take out your travel insurance at the time of booking your trip as cover will commence for pre-departure cancellation from the date you are accepted for cover. This will, therefore, provide cover should you have to cancel your trip for an insured reason such as illness or serious accident preventing you from travelling.
