Accounts Assistant

Permanent - part-time

Salary: £14,000 per annum

The role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to play a key role in supporting both our Sales and Finance teams. This position serves as a crucial link between the two departments, ensuring smooth post-sale processes and accurate financial records.

  • The Accounts Assistant will assist the sales team to process changes to the accounts during the post-sale, eg, course extensions, refunds, etc. and will also be responsible for ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner. The Accounts Assistant will ensure all financial transactions of the accounts are up to dates and report this to the financial team.
  • The Accounts Assistant will be exposed to many different tasks, so the successful candidate must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Confidence and good communication skills are highly valued, together with the ability to identify improvements to processes and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain all-round experience in sales and finance within fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

With the sales team:

  • Processing transactions post sales, e.g. Extension, changes, etc
  • Keeping track of the payments and chasing them and cancel bookings
  • Processing refunds and keep client’s and partners' accounts up to date
  • Supporting the sales team when required eg. Supporting the admin or sales Managers to process bookings, changes, or refunds

With the Financial team:

  • Receiving, and reconciling all incoming receipts on Zero and Schoolwork’s
  • Reconciling daily payments from our clients and partners and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
  • Credit control for outstanding debtors
  • Preparing financial analysis on all open invoices for the Finance team a weekly basis
  • Processing Refunds, raise cancellation invoices/credit course invoices where necessary

Candidate info

  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Receivable role undertaking credit control
  • Strong IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Desirable skills: previous experience with Xero and Salesforce
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills: Ability to work with speed and accuracy with numbers.
  • Attention to detail and a naturally diligent approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills
  • A strong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Inquisitive nature, a proactive attitude, problem solver, and can think outside the box.

Experience

  • Account receivable: 1 years  ( preferable)
  • Post-sale account executive assistant : 1 year ( preferable)

Schedule

    • Monday to Friday
    • Availability: Short notice or immediately available
    • Job Type: Part-time
    • Monday to Friday: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
    • Hybrid work: 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home
